  • ground beef: 1 lb

  • Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles: 1 can (10 oz)
  • tomato paste: 2 tbsp
  • shredded cheddar cheese: 2 cups
  • frozen tater tots: about 24 oz (approx. 87% of a 28–32 oz bag)
  • yellow mustard: 2–3 tbsp, for topping

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Set out a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook {{ground beef:1 lb}} with {{yellow onion, diced:1 medium}}, seasoning with {{salt:1 tsp}} and {{black pepper:1/2 tsp}} until the beef is browned; drain excess fat.
